Where do I see the satire in my life?

i see satire in my life when my grandma and grandpa always talk about life. my grandpa would always be the serious sarcastic one and my grandma the humorous one. its all around my life mostly when an adult talks about whats the write thing to do and how to make decisions. satire is pretty cool.

ever since i been free Ive been able to do what i want. i got to kiss my wife and play ball with my kid. back then we would get beat for even looking at your wife. i got a job as an farm boy and finally making my own money. feels real nice when you making your on money to feed your own family. i never would have thought that life was like this. but still you have some white people giving me that crazy look. i really thank Lincoln for the freedom. my life anit no piece cake when you when you have a large family to look after. In glad we free, life is great.

In my savage state the Negro was at liberty to eat what he liked and could get by his own activity, but as a slave we was forced to have "Johnny cakes" and black treacle, with rare variation. This cake was made out of corn-meal, salt, and water, and baked on a piece of barrel-head. At dinner-time old Jane Robinson would call her slaves and give each of them a piece and a little molasses, which she would pour into a large plate so as to make it look much more than it really was, of course there was no blessing asked on this meal. The necessary preliminary having been gone through, I would receive my allowance with all the humility of one who had received a knighthood from his Queen. times were difficult during the emancipation proclamation. the white all hated us and i almost died. that would have real bad if i couldn't taste freedom just for one second.

I was born a slave in Georgetown, Maryland. after being sold to slave-dealer, I escaped to Philadelphia. later I moved on to Canada where I became a Methodist minister. In 1890 I was made a bishop at Methodist Episcopal Church. I wanted to be free for so long but it looks like I'm going to die a slave. its been rough all this time. my owner beats me everyday just t show that hes in charge
